RENTEQ Automotive is a young Danish company with an ambition to reduce total CO₂ emissions by pushing the electrification of commercial vehicles and working machines. We're based in Dragør and we take on the full journey – from engineering and development through to series production.

The Role
As our Production Engineer, you'll be at the center of our transition from development to full-scale production. You'll work closely with the design team and the workshop floor to make sure what's designed can actually be built — efficiently, repeatably, and to a high standard. What you learn on the floor feeds directly back into better designs.
This is a communication-heavy role. You'll be the link between engineers, technicians, and management — translating between all of them without losing detail.
What You'll Do
• Own the transition from prototype and development into repeatable, scalable production
• Review and revise engineering designs based on real-world assembly feedback
• Work closely with the design team — documenting issues, suggesting improvements, and closing the loop between the workshop and CAD
• Develop and maintain assembly guides, work instructions, and process documentation
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in manufacturing and drive practical improvements
• Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth handoffs at each stage of production
• Maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement across the workshop.
Is This You?
We're looking for someone with an engineering background and some hands-on experience from production or manufacturing environments. More important than your CV is your mindset: you're practical, structured, and not afraid to get your hands dirty when a problem needs solving.
It'll be an advantage if you can tick most of these:
• Background in mechanical, production, or manufacturing engineering — or equivalent experience
• You've worked in or around production and know what makes an assembly process succeed or fail
• Strong communicator — you can translate between engineers, and technicians, without losing the detail
• Sharp eye for assembly processes, tolerances, and design for manufacturability
• Proactive and structured — you surface problems early rather than waiting for them to escalate
• Comfortable building in an environment where many processes are still being established
• Experience with laser cutting, CNC bending and welding is an advantage.
