The IT University of Copenhagen is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution concerned with information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers.
ITU has more than 160 full-time faculty members. Research and teaching in information technology span all academic activities which involve computers including computer science, information and media sciences, humanities and social sciences, business impact and the commercialization of IT.
Job description
In the position as a Student Programmer you will work with the following tasks:
- Technical assistance to teachers with streaming or recording video and podcasts
- Technical assistance to teachers with booking of studio facilities and other hardware equipment
- Maintenance and development of studios as well as production of instructions of use of studios
- Ad hoc administrative and practical tasks for the teams in the department
Your profile
As a candidate you are a BSc or MSc student within technical education and still has at least one year left of your studies. You are skilled within programming, and you also have experience or interest within technologies related to teaching and video and audio production.
You are ambitious, pro-active, structured in your work and a team player. You speak English at a solid level and understand basic Danish both oral and written.
Who we are
The Learning Support team is one of several teams in the Department of Student Affairs & Programmes. The team consists of 1 team leader and 5 consultants. We are responsible for developing ITU's teaching methods together with the teachers, the pedagogical competence development of teachers, analyses, quality assurance and strategic education projects.
We value high professionalism, a thriving working environment, sparring and collaboration in the team. We derive a lot of energy and value from co-creation and knowledge sharing with the teachers, who are busy developing pedagogical and didactic methods and applying them innovatively.
In addition to that, we have an excellent collaboration with the Dean of Education, the Heads of Academic Departments and the other employees in the department, which consists of 45 committed employees who handle a broad portfolio of tasks that support the universities’ study programmes, students and teachers.
The tasks include admission, study and career guidance, course and examadministration, case management, consultancy for education managers and pedagogical-didactic support of the teachers.
Teachers and students come from all over the world and much of the daily communication is therefore in English. The IT University is growing, which is why roles and tasks are constantly changing.

Terms of employment
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and PROSA. It will be possible to negotiate individual allowances depending on personal qualifications.
The employment is from 1 September 2023 till 31 August 2026 or till you graduate.
