RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, strengthen, and implement monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning concepts, policies, methods and learning processes.
- Keeping a comprehensive overview on monitoring of international projects.
- Further development and improvement of our project monitoring systems, including performance and accountability reporting (PAR).
- Ensuring collection, quality control and coding of monitoring data on all international projects.
- Support validation and documentation of observed results.
- Provision and support of quantitative and qualitative analysis of monitoring data.
- Support and facilitate participatory processes of analysis of monitoring data to ensure learning and adaptive management of projects.
- Support project teams in identification of project-based case studies.
- Liaise with our communication department in using monitoring data for drafting the annual public report.
- Support reporting of results to management, donors (and in particular to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and other users.
- Support management and colleagues on all aspects of evaluation (internal and external evaluations), terms of reference for the commission of evaluations.
- Technical support and capacity development to local partners within issues of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
- Support projects and departments in designing theories of change, result frameworks, and logical frameworks, verifiable indicators etc.
- Onboarding and training of co-workers and external partners in monitoring and evaluation methods.
- Development and maintenance of standard templates for project idea notes, context analyses, and various other non-financial templates for facilitating the project cycle management.
- Relevant master’s degree.
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with monitoring and evaluation (we use the Outcome Harvesting methodology), qualitative and quantitative analysis of data.
- Knowledge of all aspects of the Project Cycle Management.
- Experience with and interest in results-based management and results-based approaches to planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
- Knowledge of working with a human rights-based approach (HRBA) and gender equality in international projects.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English (working language). Proficiency in French, Arab, Russian, or other languages is an advantage.
- Organised, structured, analytical, and capable of keeping an overview in complex situations.
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
- Assertive with a positive mindset and thriving as part of a team working for a common goal.
- Accustomed to working at all levels in an international environment.
You will be based at the Danish Institute for Human Rights’ head office in Copenhagen in our international division’s Human Rights, Resources and Results Department – read more about the department here.
The position is full time (37 hours per week) and salary will be determined in accordance with Danish Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations with the possibility to negotiate individual supplements.
